Re: Gabor Mate on ADHD
In Scattered Minds, Gabor Maté writes poignantly about ADHD, drawing on his own experience with Attention Deficit Disorder to help those who struggle with inattention, impulsivity, and emotional overwhelm. The book is particularly powerful because it combines his personal experience of living with ADHD with insights from psychology, neurology, and child development. Maté argues that ADHD is shaped primarily by environmental influences, offering an alternative perspective to the view that it is predominantly genetically based.

Low self-esteem? Here is a good book that might help
A good book for anyone suffering from low self-esteem. It can help you move away from the vicious circle of unhelpful thoughts, feelings and behaviours, and self-destructive thinking. The book gives some practical techniques from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help move towards self-acceptance and improved self-worth.

Re: Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents – a great book
What I like about this book is that it explains the four different types of parents who can lack empathy and can be challenging, and also suggests how you could deal with them without becoming too upset yourself.
A really good book if you have challenging parents who can er towards being self-centred or narcissistic

A good book on Attachment styles
A good book I recommend regarding romantic relationships and attachment styles is the book entitled 'Attached'. Very useful information that can help with all relationships, not just romantic ones. Is your attachment style 'secure, anxious, avoidant or disorganised'? This book will help you understand the way you are in relationships and others.
