About Christie Goodall

I'm a BACP-accredited integrative CBT/EMDR therapist, coach and mentor, based in London

My background

Before training as a therapist, I spent twenty years working in academic, pastoral and support roles – including as a lecturer in business studies and ESOL, and personal tutor at the University of London (UCL, SOAS, Central School of Speech and Drama, Kings College, Birkbeck and The University of Westminster). I now work at LSE as a student counsellor.

I also worked in a hospital setting in the social work department. These experiences have deepened my understanding of the pressures that people face in life, and around performance, self-doubt and identity, and how easily those pressures can become internalised.

Over time, I found myself drawn towards therapeutic work. Since then I’ve helped over a thousand clients navigate anxiety, loss, trauma and emotional 'stuckness', using an integrative approach that combines cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), EMDR and humanistic and psychodynamic theory.

In addition to private practice, I’ve worked with organisations including:

  • The Priory
  • Problem Shared
  • Health Assured
  • Mind in Camden
  • Anxiety UK
  • One in Four
  • University of London student services
  • NHS and voluntary services

  • Diploma in Psychology – Birkbeck, University of London

“I am very grateful to Christie for her excellent counselling skills and guidance. I have been living with anxiety and depression at work and feeling overwhelmed but she has changed the way I think about my job and I am a lot happier and calmer now. I would thoroughly recommend Christie to anyone.” – CM, former client
